Calthorpe Estates adds to awards list

Calthorpe Estates has added to its impressive list of awards by winning the Consumer Choices category of the C+ Carbon Positive awards.

The accolade was awarded in recognition of Calthorpe Estates’ commitment to offering consumers a greater choice of low carbon products, through its various developments and projects across the Edgbaston Estate.

Presented at the Princes May Day Summit on Climate Change held in Birmingham, the award ceremony was attended by winners from the other categories, leading businesses and sustainability practitioners from across the region.

Graham Standring of Calthorpe Estates, said: “We are delighted to have received this award which affirms our commitment to the low carbon agenda. Combining a strong customer focus with a green approach is central to everything we do on The Estate, and we are very proud to have been recognised for this.”

The award comes as Calthorpe Estates reaches the practical completion stage of its £40 million Grade A office development Calthorpe House, which has already earned a BREEAM rating of ‘Excellent’ for its sustainable credentials.

The awards were organised by Business in the Community and supported by Advantage West Midlands.
